The model and software demonstrated in this training have been created as a result of a collaboration between AMHA-Oregon (AMHA), Mentor Research Institute (MRI) and Private Practice Cloud (PPC).  Dr. Conner has been involved in research to develop models and technology that support and protect private practice psychotherapy for since 1991.  He was a leader in creation the first mental health professionals’ independent practice association (IPA) in the country.  Dr. Conner leads design, creation and online implementation of a software system to support innovative payment contracts with Healthplans. Group contracts supported by this software allow early career and established psychotherapists to demonstrate the measurable quality and value of their psychotherapy services. Therapists can monitor their own measurement data. Payers seen only data for the contract group. Change measurement by individual therapists data can improve their deliberate practice skills. Group performance data can generate referrals to a and increase professionals’ income.

Dr. Conner declares that he has been a member of AMHA and MRI for 25 years; he has majority ownership interest in PPC.  AMHA, MRI, and PPC each have commercial interest in the software presented in this training.  This unavoidable overlap of interests exists because the software is the first and only system created to support the group contracting model being presented.

Potential conflicts of interests are managed by independent board oversight, disclosure statements and transparency with AMHA members who choose to participate in contracts.
